Despite manufacturing companies labeling beauty and cleaning products as 'organic' and/or 'all natural,' is this really the case? Many consumers don’t understand the significance of these ingredients! Research can be tedious and lead to dead ends. The aim of this class is to educate consumers on how to obtain information, how to interpret it, and most importantly, how to make the right buying decision. We will review some common ingredients found in beauty and cleaning products and evaluate their safety. This class intends to provide the students with the necessary tools to make informed purchasing decisions in the future.
