Traditional Watercolor 2: Experimental Painting Techniques

This class is a followup course for those who took Intro to Watercolor Painting. It will expose students to the traditional art of water color painting using the three main different kinds of water color paints:stains, transparents, and opaques, as well as the appropriate paper, and brushes needed to achieve fine-quality watercolor results. This class will build off of the previous class and cover more advanced techniques including press and sgrafitto textures, dropping color, resists, salting and alcohol, pulling of paint, blow drying, and spray. Elements of using mixed media such as watercolor pencils, colored pencils, pen and more.
