Rochester audiences this week have a rare opportunity to see both theatrical shows by award-winning storyteller Penny Sterling, performed on two consecutive evenings. Sterling's "Spy in the House of Men: A One-Woman Show (with balls)" tells her story of living her first 54 years as a male — working, raising a family, and pretending her best to fit into the man's man role. And her "Parents & Children, Husbands & Wives: It's All Relatives," created in collaboration with Mike and Mel Muscarella, is a musical filled with sweet, sad, and bittersweet stories about family.
"Spy in the House of Men" takes place on Thursday, January 24, and "Parents & Children, Husbands & Wives" takes place on Friday, January 25. Both shows take place at 7:30 p.m. at MuCCC, 142 Atlantic Avenue, and both will be followed by a talk back. Tickets are $15 per show, or both shows for $20; muccc.org.
