This is a staged reading of the new play written by Robert Djed Snead. The play is set in December, 1964 in Rochester, NY and explores the lives of the members of the fictitious gospel quartet singing group, "The Devoted Disciples." The riots of July 1964 , Black Power vs. Christian faith, and black on black violence are explored as the story unfolds. Local actors , including the playwright, will bring the script to life with passionate and dramatic readings. There will be a talkback immediately following the presentation.
