Much of our activism for peace and justice consists of reactive, one-off protests, or serial events that don’t construct what we want. How can we strengthen our collective capacity to do research, and legislative advocacy, be accountable, and support responsive leadership? John Lindsay-Poland will share histories of movements that, against apparently great odds, met some of their goals, then turn to the prospects for Rochester-area efforts.
