This Spotlight on Faculty concert features works for duo, trio, and quartet from 1914 to today. The works featured on this program – Zoltan Kodaly’s Duo Sonata for violin and cello, Zachary Cairns’ Passing Through for string trio and alto sax, and Paul Schoenfield’s Café Music piano trio – demonstrate the ways in which composers throughout the last century have infused classical chamber music with elements of folk music and jazz.
