Get your geek on this weekend as The Strong Museum memorializes the newest inductees of the World Video Game Hall of Fame (12 arcade, computer, and console game finalists include Solitaire, Mortal Kombat, Myst, and Candy Crush; the inductees will be announced on Thursday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m.). The World Video Game Hall of Fame Celebration Weekend features the band Glitch performing live music from classic video games, interactive trivia, and Rochester Institute of Technology's Cosplay Group. On Saturday there will be a family-friendly performance of Story Quest: Escape from Video Game Land at 2 p.m., presented by the College at Brockport and Renaissance Academy Charter School of the Arts.
The World Video Game Hall of Fame Celebration Weekend takes place on Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, May 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. The Strong Museum, One Manhattan Square. Included in museum admission: $16 over age 2, under age 2 and museum members are free. museumofplay.org.
