No, it's not what you think. The only kind of peep you'll get during the Greater Rochester Peep Show is of the sugary, marshmallow variety. The show will feature more than 100 art pieces and dioramas incorporating the marshmallow Peep. Thousands of people came through the exhibit in its first year, and the Webster Community Chest hopes to gain traction for its second annual event. Donations during the show will go to its Food Cupboard and 20 other local charities and non-profit organizations. All in good fun, awards and prizes will be given out in categories such as "Most Unusual Peep" and "Best Historical Peep" all the way down to the classic "Peeple's Choice Award."
The Greater Rochester Peep Show will be held Saturday, April 8, and Sunday, April 9, at the Webster Community Recreation Center, 1350 Chiyoda Drive, Webster. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Free. For more information, visit rochesterpeepshow.com.
