The Nazareth College Franco American Choir will perform a special concert in City Hall Friday to mark the upcoming 70th Anniversary of D-Day, which led to the liberation of Rennes France, Rochester's first Sister City. City Councilmember Carolee Conklin, President of the International Sister Cities of Rochester, will deliver a joint proclamation marking Freedom and Liberty Days. Local veterans and members of the Sister Cities committee will also be in attendance, along with the crew of the Geneseo National Warplane Museum's flagship WWII Douglas C-47 troop transport, who will fly to France in June to participate in anniversary celebrations.
