This workshop is a densely packed and hands-on instructional lesson on the fundamentals of ancient Japanese Shibori dyeing techniques. Shibori is a term from the Japanese culture to describe a way of dyeing fabric which is defined by an infinite number of resist methods. Stitching, pole-binding, & clamping will be taught in the first 30 minutes allowing 90 minutes to customize two large finished silk scarves. The last hour is for rinsing the dyes and a closing discussion on textile care.
