The Rochester Board of Education will conduct a public hearing to gather input to submit to the New York State Education Department regarding the proposed renewal of the charter for ROC Achieve Charter School. The public hearing will be held in the third-floor conference room.

ROC Achieve Charter School currently serves approximately 420 students in grades 5-8, and estimates an enrollment of 400 students in these grade levels under the proposed charter renewal.

The Board will conduct a Special Meeting immediately following the public hearing. The meeting may recess in Executive Session to discuss matters related to the employment of a particular individual. Open Meetings Law allows boards of education to convene in Executive Session (closed to the public) under specific conditions, one of which is to discuss matters related to the employment of a particular individual.
