Come out and enjoy a bit of holiday-themed exercise this Saturday, December 21, by taking part in Fleet Feet's annual Reindeer Run. The Reindeer Run is a unique family-friendly 5K race open to people of all ages. The race starts at the intersection of Pitkin and Broad streets and finishes at National Museum of Play, where there will be an awards reception for the top finishers in each age group as well as awards for those with the most creative holiday costumes. Participants will also get the rare opportunity to run along Rochester's Inner Loop, which will be closed in honor of the race. Have little ones who may want to participate but don't quite have the gas to complete a full 5K? Don't worry; there is also a half-mile kids course.
The Reindeer Run will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. Registration can be done online via yellowjacketracing.com and costs $20-$25 in advance and $30 for day-of registration. Kids race registration is only $5. Act fast as only the first 1,750 registrants will receive a pair of complimentary reindeer antlers for the race.
