Pull Water Chestnut from Braddock Bay

When: Thu., Aug. 14, 9 a.m. 2014

Water chestnut is an aggressive aquatic invader that is assaulting much of the Finger Lakes. Hand pulling has proven successful for small infestations if done prior to seed dispersal. Braddock Bay is under attack and the villain is a water weed with the potential to alter the ecosystem indefinitely. Volunteers are needed to help pulling this menace from the Bay. There will be several boats and life jackets available, but feel free to bring your own. Coffee and donuts will be provided!
