Tis the season to be heavy with more metal than you'll know what to do with. For two nights you can bang your head to over a dozen hard and heavies, starting Friday with Malformed, Blurring, Desekrator, Order of the Dead, Cthulu, Controlled by Fear, and Cosmic Sea. The bloodbath continues Saturday with Ageil, Nokturnal Hellstorm, The Gutted, Seplopile, Throne of Wilderness, Nazgul, and Theater Nocturne.  

Rochester Metal Fest takes place Friday, December 20, 7 p.m. and Saturday, December 21, 8 p.m., at the Bug Jar, 219 Monroe Ave., $5-$8, bugjar.com.
