Musica Nova, Eastman’s resident new music ensemble, features flexible groups of students performing contemporary music and 20th-century classics. Composers who have visited Eastman in recent years to coach and attend Musica Nova performances of their works include Steve Reich, John Adams, George Crumb, John Zorn, Bernard Rands, Luca Francesconi, and Harrison Birtwistle.
