Read & Rock
Help the Monroe Branch reach five hours of reading and rocking during the month of March. We have a big rocking chair in the Children’s Room for your reading and rocking enjoyment. Every time you start reading and rocking, let a library staff member know so we can log your time.
Preschool Pop-Up Fun

World Poetry Day
Thursday, March 21, from Noon–6 p.m.
Unwrap a book of poetry (after you check it out) and discover the humor and beauty in the world of poetry. All ages.
Mini-Comic Book Workshop
Thursday, March 28, from 5 – 6 p.m.
Try your hand at making a mini-comic strip.

Teens
True Crime Book Club
Wednesday, March 27, from 6–7 p.m.
Join the Monroe Branch’s new book club, focusing on True Crime. This club is open to older teens and adults.
Origami Cranes Demonstration
Wednesday, March 6, from 4-5 p.m.
Help us create origami cranes to be displayed at the Central Branch in August. This is a system-wide project to coordinate with the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic Bomb traveling exhibit. Teens and adults are welcome to participate, and instructions will be provided.

First Friday Coffee Hour
Friday, March 1, from 3–5 p.m.
Stop by the Monroe Branch and enjoy some cookies and coffee.
LROC
Friday, March 1, from 1–3 p.m.
The Library Resource Outreach Center (LROC) helps connect the homeless, or those in danger of becoming homeless, to services and resources such as housing, food, clothing, shelter, income, case management, medical care, legal assistance and employment. No appointment necessary. Stop in and get your questions answered.
Book Discussion
