According to the Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health, African Americans are 20% more likely to experience serious mental health problems than the general population. Why is this the case? What are some of the most common mental health disorders among African Americans? What other mental health disparities exist in the black community and what can we do to change the statistics? Join us for a candid community discussion moderated by founder Calvin Eaton. Open to all (ages 15+) but tailored for black and brown community members. Advance registration required as seating is limited.
