When: Sat., April 30, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. 2016
At the celebration, guests are encouraged to dance around the maypole while wearing their springtime finest, perhaps with a European vintage outdoor theme - flowing dresses and hair ribbons. The maypole celebration is a tradition originally from Germany, England and Sweden, though no one knows for sure how far back maypole dancing dates. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a bag lunch for a picnic after the festivities. Hiking is also available on the six miles of trails complete with wetlands and forest.
