With C-section rates dangerously over 30% in the United States, people are looking for solutions. The idea of a “collaborative care” practice where doctors and midwives manage women’s care together is one possible solution. Research has demonstrated that collaborative care models produce better outcomes for mother and baby, including fewer C-sections. This moving film provides an intimate lens into how midwives and doctors across the country work together to improve birth. The film will be followed by commentary from local health care professionals.
