Can't get enough of this year's "If All of Rochester Read the Same Book" selection? Then make sure to take advantage of the multitude of events coming up in honor of Eowyn Ivey's "The Snow Child." The book tells the story of a childless couple in 1920's Alaska. On the day of the first snowfall, the couple builds a child out of snow only to discover it missing the following morning, replaced by a young girl who will change their lives forever.
Don't miss out on meeting the author herself. Ivey will be making guest visits in the area beginning at the Forum of the Shults Center at Nazareth College (4245 East Ave.) on Wednesday, March 19, 3-4:30 p.m. Other appearances by Ivey include Penfield Public Library (1985 Baird Road) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.; the Central Library (115 South Ave.) on Thursday, March 20, at noon; the RIT Reading Room (1 Lomb Memorial Drive) on Thursday at 3 p.m.; Greece Public Library (2 Vince Tofany Blvd.) on Thursday at 7 p.m.; Wood Library (134 N. Main St., Canandaigua) on Friday, March 21, at 11 a.m.; and Valley Manor (1570 East Ave.) Friday at 3:30 p.m. A complete list of information and events can be found on the calendar of events on wab.org.
