North Carolinian singer-songwriter Jonathan Byrd is a preacher’s son, a Gulf War veteran, and a Kerrville New Folk award winner. Following up on his performance at the 2014 Turtle Hill Folk Festival, Byrd will be accompanied by Johnny Waken (guitar, mandolin, saw) and Paul Ford (cello) for a concert full of complex songwriting, compelling vocals, and hot guitar picking in the line of North Carolina greats Doc Watson and Tony Rice.
