Canadian jazz singer Denzal Sinclaire has plenty of style of his own when he takes on a standard. But this weekend he'll use his soulful baritone to pay tribute to one of the greatest song stylists of the 20th century, Nat King Cole. Jeff Tyzik will conduct the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and to make sure the house swings, the ensemble will be enhanced by three Rochester jazz greats, John Nyerges at the piano, Jeff Campbell on bass, and Rich Thompson on drums.
Denzal Sinclaire sings the Nat King Cole Songbook with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra on Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, 60 Gibbs Street. 8 p.m. $16-$95. 454-2100; rpo.org.
