ADULT PROGRAMS

Drop-In Knitting Circle: Every Tuesday, 1:00-3:00 pm. Bring needlework projects and chat with others while you work. No registration required.

Technology Help with Teen Tech Tutors: Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00-6:00 pm. Come in to get help with all your technology questions. No registration required.

Open Enrollment with a LawNY Health Care Navigator: Friday, January 4, 11, and 18. 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. A certified health care navigator from LawNY will assist you in enrolling for health insurance under the AffordableCare Act. Please bring a photo ID, the previous year's tax return, and dates of birth and social security numbers for all family members that you are enrolling. Registration for a one hour appointment is required.

Iron Book Discussion Group - "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow: Tuesday, January 15 at 7:00 pm and Thursday, January 17 at 3:00 pm. New readers always welcome. No registration required.

The Spirit in Practice presented by The Rev. Michelle Yates: Tuesdays, January 15 and 29 at 2:00 pm. This series aims at helping people develop regular practices of the spirit that help them connect with the sacredground of their being. Registration is required.

Turning 65 & Medicare presented by T65&Beyond: Saturday, January 19 at 10:30 am. Learn about Medicare, who needs to apply for Medicare, when and how to apply, and how to avoid penalties. No plan specific informationwill be discussed. Registration is required.

IPL Genealogy Group - Illegitimacy presented by Marian Henry: Wednesday, January 23 at 7:00 pm. In this talk we consider illegitimacy in genealogy. Registration is required.

Winterfest: Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 am. Irondequoit's fifth annual Winterfest will get you out of the house and show you that it's cool to be cold! Most activities are free but some vendors may require cash. Call 336-6070 for questions.

A Listening Circle - Men and Women Becoming Allies for Each Other: Saturday, January 26 at 12:45 pm. The Circle process we will be using creates a confidentially safe, brave space for honest sharing and deep listeningfor both men and women. Registration is required.

Monthly Talking Circle: Tuesday, January 29 at 6:00 pm. Taking part in a talking circle invites us to share our stories in ways that feel meaningful and safe to each of us. Registration is required.

Teen Writing Group: Ages 12-18. Friday, January 4 at 3:30 pm. Join us to write, share, edit, and laugh.

Dungeons & Dragons & Donuts: Ages 13-18. Saturday, January 5 at 11:00 am. For new and experienced players, join the most popular role playing game of all time. Registration required.

Teen Advisory Board: Ages 12-18. Thursday, January 10 at 4:00 pm. Have a say in what programs the library offers for teens and get your hands on the latest books. No registration required.

Role Playing Games for Teens: Ages 13-18. Saturday, January 19 at 11:00 am. Each month will feature a new role playing game like Deadlands or Call of Cthulhu.


CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS

Ballet Storytime with Ballet Afrikana: Geared towards 2-5 yrs. but everyone welcome. Saturday, January 5 at 10:30 am. Ashley Campbell, classically trained dancer and co-founder ofBallet Afrikana: Dance Prep Academy, will introduce participants to the world of ballet through movement and stories.

Baby Brain Boosters: Ages 0-15 mos. Monday, Jan. 7, 14, and 28 at 11:00 am. Thursday, January 10, 17, 24, and 31 at 1:00 pm. Saturday, January 12 and 19 at 10:15 am. Learn and practicea number of research-based activities to help build your baby's brain. Registration requested but not required.

Lego Club: Ages 4 and up. Wednesday, January 9 at 6:30 pm. Rochester Lego Users Group will be on hand to provide inspiration and instruction. Lego bricks will be provided. No registration required.

Homeschool Hour: All ages. Thursday, January 10 at 11:30 am. Join other homeschoolers for a monthly exploration of a different topic. Activities include research, crafts and play. No registration required.

Storytime with Miss Lauren: Ages 2-5. Saturday, January 12 at 11:00 am. Enjoy the company of other children and caregivers while supporting your child's literacy through stories, songs and play. No registrationrequired.

Winter Storytime: Ages 3-7 with caregiver. Saturday, January 19 at 11:15 am. Join us for stories and a craft celebrating winter. Registration required.
