Rylan Talerico, a k a Brother Sundance, is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and indie pop producer whose sonic waves are rippling around the country. Talerico developed Brother Sundance after transitioning away from his punk-blues band as a teenager in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Talerico's smoky, warm voice has a bite to it similar to that of Joe Newman from Alt J, but it evokes more soulful emotion and grit, with catchy melodies that flaunt a wide vocal range and clear falsetto. A small collective of Talerico's talented friends complement his voice with atmospheric female backing vocals and powerful dubstep drops that shake the room with synth pop textures. Brother Sundance released his debut EP, "Honey," earlier this year, and he's since popped up on several notable new artist playlists on Spotify and Apple Music, and the single, "Blind," has already been streamed more than 5 million times. From creating the album art, to writing, recording and producing the music, Talerico does it all himself and considers DIY to be an integral part of the musical experience. Brother Sundance's alternative pop anthems create high-energy sets that reflect a love of performing.
