Costumed guides will lead walking tours around the Seward House grounds and to the gates of Fort Hill Cemetery, sharing macabre tales of Victorian funeral practices, the assassination attempt on Mr. Seward, the spectral sightings of Seward family pets, and other spooky accounts of folklore and history. Learn what Fanny, William Seward’s daughter, was talking about when she wrote in her journal, “Blood, blood….my thoughts are drenched in it—I seemed to breathe its sickening odor.”
