Great Britian Family Life During WWII

When: Mon., Sept. 21, 7-8:30 p.m. 2015

The Gates Historical Society is honored to announce that Mary Castle, a 50 year Gates resident, will be sharing her personal experiences of home life during World War II in Britain. Mary vividly remembers how families coped. For example, rationing included 1 egg per week and 2 oz (57 g) loose tea. Only one bath a week was allowed for the whole family and the members shared the meager bath water. The Gates Town Annex is fully handicapped accessible
