Grace Through Music: A Benefit for RAIHN

The concert includes Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 2, featuring Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) musicians Rebecca Gilbert, Erik Behr, Wesley Nance and Thomas Rodgers as soloists.
RPO violinist, Tigran Vardanyan will perform Arvo Paert’s Fratres with Eastman Community Music School piano department chair, Alla Kuznetzov. Local composer and Nazareth College assistant professor, Octavio Vazquez will introduce a three-movement suite from his Trio for Piano, Cello and Violin, “Gernika” to be performed by Alla Kuznetzov, RPO violinist Lara Sipols and Eastman Community Music School cello instructor, Joan Kinsella.
The program will also include an organ solo by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Director of Music, Robert Poovey. A jazz ensemble, featuring Eastman College of Music faculty members Gary Versace, Bob Sneider and Jeff Campbell, will finish the program.
