If you came of age in the 1960's, Peter Yarrow was probably a part of your life. As a member of Peter, Paul & Mary, Yarrow combined activism with music, bringing songs like "Blowin' In The Wind," "Where Have All The Flowers Gone," and "If I Had A Hammer" to the masses. He wrote or co-wrote classics like "Puff (The Magic Dragon)," "Day Is Done," and "The Great Mandala," and performed at Martin Luther King's 1963 March On Washington. Yarrow will be looking back over his long and rich career in a Golden Link Folk Song Society concert.
Peter Yarrow performs Saturday, November 4, at Hochstein Performance Hall, 50 North Plymouth Avenue. 7:30 p.m. $33 ($35 at door) general; Golden Link Members $28 ($30 at door); students $10; and children 12 and under $1. goldenlink.org; peteryarrow.net.
