The steep wooded slopes, small lakes, and a variety of spring flowering trees make Durand Eastman a park of exceptional beauty. We will take an easy walk with tree expert, Frank Crombe, to enjoy the spring blossoms and also watch for migrating birds. In particular, we'll be looking at trees up close, enjoying both native species and the exotics in the arboretum. Binoculars and a hand lens would be helpful. Bring water and a snack.
