Pop culture adopts legal themes to add excitement, drama and even humor to storylines in films, TV series, and literature. A popular legal topic utilized in this way is trusts and estates, commonly known as wills. Karen Morris will address the quandaries bequests can create as portrayed in the TV series “Downton Abbey” and “True Blood,” the film “Grand Budapest Hotel,” and the real-life wills of several A-list actors.
