Don your raspberry beret, hop into your little red corvette, and party like it's 1999. The Little Theatre will celebrate Prince's birthday with a special double feature honoring the late, great music icon on Saturday, June 10. The evening begins with a pre-show tribute to Prince's career, then a screening of the classic, Oscar-winning rock drama "Purple Rain" at 7 p.m. and its follow-up, "Under the Cherry Moon," at 9:45 p.m. Admission to both films is $8. Individual tickets are also on sale for $5 per movie. Tickets can be purchased at The Little Theatre box office (240 East Avenue).
Then on Monday, June 12, party like it's 1929, when the Little unveils its freshly renovated marquee with a special evening-long event that includes free screenings of "Cinema Paradiso," an outdoor concert from Bobby Henrie and the Goners, and a relighting ceremony at 8:30 p.m. More information on both events at thelittle.org.
