Boregore has that kind of music that makes you feel like you need a shower — but in a good way. With a dash of chip music, a snappy synthetic beat, and raps that sound suspiciously like grime with a twist of sexual frustration, the overall effect is glittery until the beat drops — at which point all bets are off and it's about to get filthy. While the lyrics are certainly...suggestive, there is no doubt that these are some catchy mixes, and they have attracted such artists as Miley Cyrus and Diplo. Borgore hails from the UK, and he's coming here not only to show us how it is done, but most assuredly to get us dancing. Local DJs Keto and Prophet will be opening with their eclectic mixes, hers of house music and his of dub mixes.
Boregore, Keto, and DJ Prophet perform Friday, November 30, 9 p.m. at Water Street Music Hall, 204 N. Water St. $20-$25. 325-5600, waterstreetmusic.com.
