Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

When: Mon., Jan. 21, 12 p.m. 2013

Redeem Bethel Church of God in Christ, 4494 Rt. 104, Williamson. The 2013 event, Our Children, the Hope for the Future, will feature a keynote address by Dr. Arlette Miller Smith, Director of African-American Studies & Associate Professor: Departments of Interdisciplinary Studies and English at St. John Fisher College and presentations by students from throughout Wayne County. Student presentations will include the Youth Inspiration Dancers and the Dr. Martin Luther King Youth Choir will join all attending in celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s unique contribution to the world. Just as Dr. King inspired a movement to broaden the human rights of all people, the 2013 Wayne County celebration will inspire hope to sustain his message of achieving human dignity through the struggle for social and economic equality.
