In the world of improv, The Second City is legendary. The sketch and improvisational comedy group originated in Chicago, and quickly became a pipeline for "Saturday Night Live." Among the notable names Second City has churned out: Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Gilda Radner, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, and Cecily Strong. That's quite the lineup of famous funny people, and it poses a question. Is the next great comic on Second City's current roster? The group regularly sends out touring companies across the country, so Rochester will get a chance to find out.
The Second City will perform Saturday, October 7, at St. John Fisher College's Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Athletic Center (3690 East Avenue). $5 for students; $10 for alumni, faculty, and staff; and $20 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased online at sjfc.edu, or at the door. Alumni should purchase tickets through the Alumni Weekend registration page, also found at sjfc.edu.
