An upstate summer music tradition for 13 years and counting, the Finger Lakes Chamber Music Festival, begins its 2015 season this Saturday, June 13, 7:30 p.m. at Hunt Country Vineyards (4021 Italy Hill Road, Branchport) with a recital of baroque chamber music by Bach, Telemann, Corelli, and Handel featuring harpsichordist Yi-heng Yang. The season roster (available in full at fingerlakes-music.org) includes the annual "Americana Concert" at the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport (July 5), a program called "Art Inspires Music" with new pieces for string quartet inspired by paintings by local artists (July 11), and an evening of piano quartets by Brahms and Dvorak (July 18), and that's just for starters. The summer evenings of music continue until August 1.
Finger Lakes Chamber Music Festival runs June 13 through August 1 at various locations in the Finger Lakes region. The June 13 program is $25, students free. 315-536-0383; fingerLakes-Music.org
