The Active Play Workshop is intended to help alleviate childhood obesity, the most prevalent health concern facing children under five-years-old in New York state. Attendees will learn fun, developmentally appropriate physical activities that work well in homes, child care centers and preschool classrooms. Instructors are Diane H. Craft, Ph.D., a professor of physical education at SUNY Cortland, and Patty Persell, the New York State Head Start Collaboration Director.
