The ensemble, which includes students and their music-loving neighbors from the Village of Brockport, is tackling “more and more difficult” works this year, according tomusic director and faculty member Scott Horsington. This fall, the Orchestra will be playing Mozart’s “Impresario Overture,” Chabrier’s “Habanera,” as well as selections from the “Peer Gynt Suite No. 1” by Edvard Grieg. The Orchestra will turn its attention to more contemporary classical fare with a performance of “Points of Departure” by Robert Moran.
