Mayoral debate tonight
Mayoral hopefuls Tom Richards and Lovely Warren will square off in their second debate today at 8 p.m. on WXXI-TV and AM 1370.
Richards, the incumbent, and Warren, who is City Council president, are vying for the Democratic endorsement. If Warren wins the September 10 primary, she will face Green Party candidate Alex White in November. Richards also has the backing of the Independence and Working Families parties, so he goes on to the general election no matter how the primary turns out.
Panelists for tonight's debate are Sean Carroll of 13WHAM-TV; Justin Murphy of the Democrat and Chronicle; and Tariq Spence from WDKX. The moderator is Helene Biandudi Hofer of WXXI news.
