Learning a new skill is so much more fun when food is involved. The Rochester Brainery, a community classroom and event space in the Neighborhood of the Arts, offers a wide variety of culinary courses with local chefs, ranging from pizza making with Luis Perez of Peels on Wheels to baking macarons with Caramel Bakery’s Haley Shuman. Owner and founder Danielle Raymo opened the Brainery in 2013 to provide Rochester’s talented residents a space to pass on their knowledge in person and, more recently, virtually. The classes cater to couples and groups alike for an experience that is as fun as it is informative. As the adage goes, “Never stop learning, especially if there’s pasta.” Or, something like that.
