As part of the exhibit "Crafting Democracy: Fiber Arts and Democracy," textile artist and author Alanna Wilcox will be demonstrating spinning wool into thread using an electric spinner. She'll also have a spinning wheel that she'll talk about. Alanna will have a limited number of drop spindles available first come, first served for those who would like to learn to hand spin.
