When: Thu., June 16, 6-8 p.m. 2016
Shorelines host a unique community of aquatic plants – some native, some invasive. At this free workshop, Dr. Bruce Gilman (Finger Lakes Community College) will lead residents though identification of the aquatic plant species that can be found at the water’s edge. Attendees are invited to bring their water weeds in sealed plastic bags for ID. Watercraft Stewards will also be on hand to demonstrate proper Clean, Drain, Dry techniques to help reduce the spread of unwanted invasive species via watercraft. Event is sponsored by the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association and the Town of Canandaigua Environmental Conservation Board.
