Frederick Douglass statue damaged; police arrest two

A statue of abolitionist Frederick Douglass that stood at the corner of Alexander and Tracy Streets was severely damaged this weekend during an apparent attempt to steal it. The statue is one of several fabricated by artist Olivia Kim and placed around the city on commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Douglass's birth.
