42-hour Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) Training in Family and Divorce Mediation

When: April 18-20 and April 25-26 2013

Holiday Inn Express in Victor, New York April 18-20, 25 & 26, 2013. Deadline for registration is April 13 and class size is limited. The training is the first step in becoming a Family and Divorce Mediator recognized by ACR and the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation. 37.5 Continuing Legal Education Credits are pending. The class is ideal for those looking to expand an existing law or counseling practice, as well as those looking to begin a new professional endeavor. The course is taught over five days and includes detailed information on topics such as understanding and responding to conflict, successful conflict resolution, professional standards of practice, the emotional impact of divorce, parenting, support, equitable distribution, legal counsel and documentation preparation, opportunities for continuing education, and ways to establish a practice. Instructors are Bobbie L. Dillon, M.S., President, Mediator, and Trainer, and Donald L. Crumb, Esq., Mediator and Trainer, The Mediation Center, Inc. Tuition for the course includes a certificate which can be used toward application for Advanced Practitioner Status through the Family Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution and Accreditation through the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, and a comprehensive manual which includes documents for use in establishing practice.
