The City of Rochester will hold a design meeting for a possible future skate park. The park, which would be located beneath the east side of the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge, would be for skateboarders and BMX riders.

A citizens group, Roc City Skatepark, has been advocating for a skate park for years. The city, which would ultimately own the park, has contracted for a $50,000 feasibility study for the project. The study should be finished this spring.

This week’s design meeting is at 6 p.m. at the School 12 atrium, 999 South Avenue. Information: 428-6866. Christine Carrie Fien
