Why Torture is Wrong, and the People who Love Them

When: Sat., June 21, 1-4 p.m. 2014

Felicity – Perfectly nice young woman of 25-34 Zamir – Charismatic but mysterious young man of indeterminate ethnicity: dark-haired, no accent, 25-39 Luella – Felicity's mother, sweet, somewhat befuddled woman. Late 40's - mid-50's Leonard – Felicity's father, strong-minded, formidable, 100% sure he's right about everything. Late 40's - mid-50's Reverend Mike – A minister who directs porno movies. Likable, but mildly debauched. Late 30's – late 40's Hildegarde – Conservative, old-fashioned woman in her mid-40's to late 50's. Voice/Narrator: Well-spoken, must make announcements. Also must impersonate multiple cartoon characters (Road Runner, Scooby Doo, Tweety, Foghorn Leghorn, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Pepe LePew). Must also sing. No monologues are necessary. Sides will be provided to the actors. No more than three rehearsals will be necessary for this reading. Performance will be Saturday, July 19 at 2:00 pm.
