THEATER | "A Christmas Carol"

by

Get in the benevolent spirit this weekend by catching a performance of Charles Dickens' holiday classic "A Christmas Carol" at the Geva Theatre Center (75 Woodbury Blvd). "A Christmas Carol" tells the story of the spiritual transformation of a wealthy miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, who hates Christmas and generally makes life miserable for everyone around him throughout the holidays. On Christmas Eve night, Scrooge is visited by three ghosts, those of Christmas past, present, and future, which cause him to reevaluate his callous ways. It is a story which embodies the Christmas spirit, and one which will warm the cockles of even the coldest of hearts. This production feature Mark Cuddy's eye-popping staging, music by Gregg Coffin, and Guy Paul again reprises the role of Scrooge.

"A Christmas Carol" runs through Sunday, December 28, with shows this week on Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 & 7:30 p.m., Sunday at noon & 4:30 p.m., Monday at 7 p.m., and on Christmas Eve — Tuesday, December 24 — at noon & 4:30 p.m. For more information visit Geva's website at gevatheatre.org or for box office information, call 232-4382.
