I'm guessing that only those of you with the sturdiest adherence to your New Year's resolutions would need any convincing. Personally, after reading the headline, I would only be scanning these paragraphs for the where and when, so I'll get to it.

The festival will take place Saturday, January 16, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Dome Center (2695 East Henrietta Road). Revelers can sample wines from dozens of New York State wineries and distilleries, nibble on decadent treats, and browse a selection of gifts.

Tickets are $25 in advance for wine tasters ($30 at the door), and $10 for designated drivers ($15 at the door), and are available online or at all area Wegmans stores. All paid admissions will receive a free wine glass (or a coffee mug for DDs). Paint your glass or mug at the free Paint Nite booth. $1 from every bottle of wine sold at the event will benefit the Lipson Cancer Center and Center for Blood Disorders at Rochester Regional Health.
