Don’t let its strip-mall location fool you; Max Chophouse is one of the best places to go when you’re craving steak. Tastefully upscale but in no way stuffy, the intimate Chophouse offers a panoply of beef options, from the relatively inexpensive to the dry-aged splurge, along with other excellently prepared proteins like chicken, lamb, and seafood. The salads are crisp, the raw oysters are cold, and the martinis meet both of those requirements.
