The Town of Penfield’s Local History Room will host an open house to showcase a new display of early 20th century kitchens. “We don’t realize all of the modern conveniences we have until we look back at the way things used to be done,” said Town Historian Kathy Kanauer. “Many residents will find this exhibit to be nostalgic and fun to share with younger family members.” At 3:00 p.m. there will be a short talk on the work of women in the kitchen during this period.
