Have you heard horror stories from your friends who traveled to Russia and couldn't figure out the street signs and restaurant menus written in Cyrillic? Have you always wanted to learn another script? This class will introduce you to the letters of the Cyrillic alphabet as used in Russia and several neighboring countries, building on the similarities between Russian and English letters and emphasizing international words. Students will learn to recognize names of places and foods written in Russian, as well as write their name in Russian.
